Wreck Diver Specialty Course (Recreational)

MX$8,000.00

Because the inside of a shipwreck is an "overhead environment" (meaning you can't swim directly to the surface) there is extra planning and special precautions and skills needed to explore one safely. This is particularly true when wearing recreational dive equipment, as we have less available gas to breathe than a technical diver.

This 3-day course introduces wreck diving skills at the recreational level, including gas planning, route planning, line laying skills, team diving skills, and emergency management. All dives are done at the diver's current depth limit, therefore we require that divers be Nitrox certified and qualified to a minimum of 100 feet/30 meters prior to this training. Due to the nature of overhead training, we also require that divers have logged a minimum of 50 prior dives, including experience in current, and can demonstrate good control of trim and buoyancy.
