After years of working for and with several large diving operations, founder Melissa discovered one thing she didn't like about the industry. That is - when you mix a group of divers, there's always someone who doesn't get their money's worth. If you've been diving awhile, you’ve already seen that:

• Experienced divers get shorter dives when grouped with newer divers

• Groups of student divers don't all get equal time and attention

• Nervous divers don’t always get enough help and may struggle to manage their anxiety

• Taking shortcuts and breaking training standards becomes an accepted practice

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to make a profit when you run a large company with massive infrastructure - and making guides and instructors take a large number of divers, running oversimplified “resort courses”, and paying staff a barely liveable wage, has become the norm in many areas. Understandably, many experienced professionals don’t want to work that way, so many large dive businesses also have a constant turnaround of inexperienced and overwhelmed staff.

Inspire Diving was built on the idea that we could offer the same diving services, but better. With the large network of contacts we’ve made in the local industry, we organise courses and excursions on a case-by-case basis, book the dives site we know you’ll want to see, partner with boat operators and other support services based on safety and customer service, and maintain the best possible quality of diving and safety equipment. We keep our infrastructure small so that we can keep our prices low - offering you customised, private diving experiences for the same price you’d pay to join a large group elsewhere. It also means we get to offer service we are proud of. Everybody wins!

As for our instructors, we choose to work only with people who are are mature, experienced, and passionate about their job. All our current staff are trained technical divers, and teach everything from basic scuba skills, to diving specialty courses, to professional-level dive programs.
